Obesity IVA
Group Art Supervisor | Designer | Project Lead
I was brought onto the Novo Nordisk IVA project after several art directors had already contributed, resulting in a disjointed visual direction. With the timeline tight and this being a high-stakes project for a new client, I was tasked with quickly unifying the aesthetic and moving the piece toward completion.
One of the drugs in the Novo Nordisc portfolio– Wegovy, is a weight loss treatment, and our focus was on healthcare provider (HCP)–facing materials. A key conceptual challenge was to present information in a way that helped doctors communicate sensitively with patients, avoiding stigma around obesity.
Because the IVA was unbranded, we also had to work within newly released Novo Nordisk guidelines, establishing a fresh digital visual language. I collaborated closely with the head of UX and our executive creative director to finalize the design, which was ultimately approved and produced.
We worked exclusively in Figma, and I was among the first art directors at the company to be assigned an enterprise seat. I rapidly became fluent in the platform’s collaborative capabilities and contributed to defining best practices for multi-user workflows, version control, and component library management. My efforts helped streamline real-time design collaboration across cross-functional teams and ensured consistency within a newly established design system.
